Pricey Haul in Bridgehampton

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the people who burglarized a Bridgehampton house in December and made off with a number of items, including a Breguet Marine watch worth thousands of dollars. 

Surveillance video shows four people entering the house on Ocean Road at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Dec. 8. The Swiss timepiece they snatched has a serial number of 5071 and retails for between $15,000 and $35,000. The men’s watch is made of stainless steel, with Roman numerals for the hours.

“A group of youths” were riding bicycles and “doing tricks” in the village, according to a woman who called police on April 26 at about noon. Police looked but could not find the kids. Bicycling is prohibited in the downtown area.
